A New Day

If you are reading this then we all have indeed survived the End of Days, the ending of the long count Mayan Calendar on December 21, 2012 just as I anticipated.  The End of Days, was never a meant to be a literal interpretation of the end of the world.  It was always supposed to represent the end of an era, a shift in consciousness and an evolving.   It is not like in one day all things change.  Things have been preparing for the shift and will continue to alter life as we know it for years to come.  At some level each one of us will be challenged to face the reality that our lives are being forced to change.

No longer will that job that you have tolerated for 10 years be an option.  Regardless of the fear of the unknown the need to do something different will over take you into action.    No longer will that relationship that fails to honour your spirit suffice.  No longer will the personal beliefs and habits that have kept you back be able to imprison your souls needs from being heard.  This is the the end of an era and a start of something amazing.

I’m not going to tell you that the road isn’t going to bumpy.  Many have already felt that over the last 2 years.  There are many people waiting to help you on the path.  Never before has Cambridge seen such a growth of spiritual shops, energy workers, holistic healers, and educators stepping up and ready to assist.  Whether you are looking for a Chakra Balancing through Reiki, or better alignment through Yoga,  there is someone here in this community for you.

When you come to that place that say’s “what I have been trying isn’t working” my message to you is to try something new.  Dr Phil says “how’s that working for you”?  I say “go for it, try it, what have you got to lose”?  It is a new year and a new era.  Take that belly dancing class and connect to your inner goddess.  Try some Thai Massage.  Get a second opinion from a local Naturopath.  Head on into Fiddleheads and talk to their knowledgable staff.  Now more then ever, you are being challenged to step out of your comfort zone a try something new.

Take a minute right now and ask yourself, what is it that you want?  Wait for it…  Hear that little voice saying… paint, volunteer, start my own business.  Now do one thing that will bring you closer to that goal.  Maybe it is to buy a paint set, maybe make a phone call to your local charity to get an application, maybe go down to Lutherwood and ask for information.

Change doesn’t happen in one day no more that the end of days resulted in a total 180 shift.  Change is one moment of inspiration followed by one step at a time over many many new days.
