Native of Galt, I was 19 and living at 63 Grand Ave. N. – got woke up at 6 am by a cop telling me to get out of apt…so I did, with my camera, I went downtown and took my own pictures – also got some pictures on the 401 near the golf course. Love the Grand river, and the fact that you can walk beside it in Galt.

I was in high school at Galt Collegiate in 1974. I do remember the flood, Pierre Trudeau’s helicopter touching down on the school grounds, hanging out at the Newfie Club, the Italian and Portuguese Clubs,Shades Mills and so much more. It was a great place to grow up.
