Far be it from me to defend Pat Martin or the NDP – so I won’t. I will, however, take issue with one line from this post:

The Blues are simply enacting what they ran on…what most people wanted.

In fact, less than forty percent of Canadians wanted what the Cons were offering.

Sorry Colin, it’s our system….they won the majority of seats…they get to drive the car…and Martin is still an a-hole!
Also heard this week that old Pat was not long ago was preaching about the need to set a new tone for the house…what a wanker.
P.S. with three parties, no one ever gets 51%…so nobody is entitled to enact their program? Just asking.

Again, I’m not defending Martin or the NDP, nor did I suggest that a party with a majority in the House of Commons but only a plurality of the popular vote should be prevented from enacting their program.

I was merely pointing out an oft-repeated inaccurate statement that “most” people wanted what the Conservatives were selling. Forty percent is not most.

Just asking but what did the Soviet Army wear on their feet, when they killed more of their people than Nazi’s did and trod all over Europe? Seems to me Jackboots, Nazi, and NDP Martin’s comments are over used. Also on the subject what did Nazi stand for was it not NDSAP, and is not a German party today called NPD. Hey just a thought after all the Canadian version in French is NPD.

Okay…more people voted for them and their platform than for any other platform …and Pat is still a flatulent attention-seeker…not that you’d defend his actions. Am I getting closer?
Like Colin, if we don’t stop this then ‘old mullet head’ will join the fray and side-track us with epic stupidity.

Malcolm, I think they wore polar bear skin boots made by aging patriotic babushkas in happy communes…but I could be wrong.
    NSDAP…national german,socialist, workers party…and yes, the Q
