If you’re looking for trouble you can find it head on at the girl’s night out at The 515 Concert Club this Saturday. If you’re ready to make up you can even the score with a little assault and flattery. If you need some new romance you can get it on credit, as long as your daddy don’t know.
Live it up!
(I apologize to my readers who have read this intro before. I never thought I’d have a chance to use it for real!)
In case you didn’t catch it, the above is made up of song title from 80’s Canuck rockers, Toronto. A lot of you people who are remembering places like Ballinger’s want to check this one out: many of us saw them there when they were at the top of the charts, and the 515 is better in a lot of ways than the old clubs ever were.
Keeping it Live Entertainment in conjunction with The 515 Concert Club and The Cambridge Citizen are very pleased to bring you Holly Woods & Toronto Aug. 27th at The 515 Concert Club.
Holly has a solid lineup behind her as she takes us on a trip back through time. They are doing all the Toronto favorites (with a twist) and more. I was at their practice yesterday and had a chance to listen to one of their new songs. I tell you people, “Shimmy Shake” is so bluesy I’ll bet Janis was smiling from her grave. This will be an incredible show.
Joining her are musicians from a few bands you may have heard of.
Barry Connors Drums (Toronto, Coney Hatch)
Steve Shelski Guitar, (Coney Hatch)
Ray Coburn Keyboards, (Honeymoon Suite)
Daryl Gray Bass, (Helix).
I will have a story about Holly up in a few days but don’t wait for it to buy your tickets, tickets are limited, The 515 isn’t that big and this will sell out soon.
See you there!
