“And in the death
As the last few corpses lay rotting on the slimy thoroughfare
The shutters lifted in inches in Temperance Building
High on Poacher’s Hill
And red, mutant eyes gaze down on Hunger City
No more big wheels”

From “Future Legend” by David Bowie

The City of Cambridge has recently come out with their 20 Year plan for Cambridge. Of course, according to the “Official Plan” everything will be hunk-dory, with the Good Ship Lollipop running down the Grand to the Land of Oz where the wizard has made Cambridge a magical place for all of us munchkins.
Jim Hillis and Mike Cahill have different visions, and we’re sure you do too. We believe that you should be rewarded for your visions, and so we’re offering up some prizes.

Write a story about how you see Cambridge in the future. Writers who have not previously been paid for their work are eligible for prizes, but we’d like to encourage everyone to submit. Maximum 1,000 words. Deadline midnight December 30/2011. Please submit your stories to [email protected] (Do not post as a reply)
