Editor’s note: At last night’s council meeting, during the discussion about the new grass cutting by-law, Coun. Ermeta encouraged council to be gentle in implementing by-law and not act like “Nazis.”
Mayor Craig later admonished Nicholas for his choice of words it was too late, our intrepid cartoonist was already on it.
Careful Nicholas, we are watching!

A man used to consider his home his castle now we do much to remove the rights of the people at every opportunity touting that my life and liberty infringes upon the rights of others but we must watch that we don’t just encourage more fence fights many times these type of by-laws are used by disgruntled neighbours to cause trouble for other neighbours that have looked at them the wrong way or some other minor offence. I spent a lot of time travelling around our city on various bus routes and have seen very few properties that I would consider an eye sore but can list a few city responsible properties that could use a little more attention don’t even bring up side walk snow removal by the city maybe they should get there own in order before they come after mine
That same point was made by one of the members of council, either Ben or Rick.
This was just sent around by city staff to, among others, Doug, Nicholas and Jim King.
On a more serious note, here’s a link to the story in The Reporter. http://cambridgereporter.com/news/article/237886
Hogans Heroes with Sgt. see nothing Schultz.
I’ll bet that other Council members will remember that Nazi remark every time they look at Nick. I hope it helps them curtail some of their Nazi-like behaviour.
