The term “Layton Surge” is a product of an impotent, Canadian media trying to do for Jack what it’s American counterpart did for Obama. The differece ONLY being that Layton has been telling Canadians he is going to spend there money like drunk buying rounds with someone elses credit card. He admits it!!

For the press, suddenly, gone are the days of shovelling taxpayer money out the door to every leftist cause you can think of. Present – still – are the scars of said spending in both B.C. and Ontario. The slobbering media is doing for Jack what he has not been able to do for himself and, once again, destroy whatever credibility it had.

The Americans are very worried, as Bruce Walker says today in an article at the American Thinker titled “Canadian Showdown”. Walker correctly summizes that if Layton is the new Prime Minister of Canada would “almost certainly, investors and businesses with operations in Canada will see tax increases and regulatory burdens increase. If the Canadian dollar begins to weaken, then that will not help our public financial situation at all. Energy costs will rise and energy supplies shrink. We can expect more political correctness and less help in combating terrorism in our nation and, perhaps, a more porous border with Canada. We will also see in Layton yet another of those dreary dinosaurs whose sympathies lie first with our nation’s enemies, rather like the man sitting in the White House today.”

Of course with enough NDP seats, the coalition from hell that PM Harper has warned about, could very well come true. All because the media has the desire to make up the minds FOR Canadians.

Newsie, relax…I am unafraid if jocular Jack is our next PM. As I said before, the NDP have always said that they have enormous integrity compared to Libs and Cons and they’ve also been telling us for fifty years that they can do better.
I for one hope Jack gets a chance to put up or shut up.
Now I wouldn’t shame myself by voting for a platform that will stifle our recovery…but the sun will continue to rise even during an NDP reign.
For me, my faith makes me worry less about things out of my control. And you?
Last, if Jack makes a mess we toss him out on his skinny butt and pointy head! It’s simple just like me.

I actually hope that Jack and the NDP do succeed in forming the government, because if that miracle does happen it means that the Maple Leafs could win the Stanley cup next year!!
