Fellow landlords and interested parties: I wanted to bring to your immediate attention the recent CTV news broadcast regarding the water bill bylaw in Cambridge. We have included for your reading in this bulletin an article from Glenn Trachsel President of WRAMA. (The Regional Apartment Management Association). His points are well taken. This is one of the basic reasons why we have requested that the Honourable Rick Bartolucci Minister of Municipal Affairs & Housing step in and use Section 400 of the Municipal Act. Lets not let our local city politicians “wash their hands” Lets not let Council members tell us to come back a year from now. This bylaw is bad public policy for landlords, bad public policy for our governments, bad for investment and bad for water conservation.
